I would suggest you to follow these Microsoft article links, provided below and check, if it helps. I am relatively new to the PC world. Do you see that adapter in your Network and Sharing Center (go to Settings - Network and Internet - Ethernet - Change Adapter Options)?
MODE is what I'm changing, so to have its mode off, it has be be enabled. Assuming that possibly only one or two lights are on, then your modem/router has lost connection to the network. Right click on the wireless network and choose "Disable".
When the Ethernet device is deactivated from within the BIOS, it never gets turned on, its drivers are never loaded, and "Local Area Connection" never appears in the adapter's Network Connections window. I can also connect through the Bluetooth and Cellular adapters. Is that correct? If all the above checks out and you still cannot get an Ethernet connection, maybe try to to 'Setup a new connection' (go to Network and Sharing Center - Set up new connection).

Hope this helps. In the Network Connections window, right-click on an active Ethernet connection (Local Area Connection Enabled) and make sure Bridge Connections is NOT selected.
