When Ted gets a once-in-a-lifetime job opportunity to be a prestigious research fellowship in The Galapagos Islands he's willing to give it up to be with Alexis but she realizes its time for her to make some sacrifices for him.

It allows him to take dad jokes to a whole other level. So when Alexis seems oblivious to all the hard work he has put into making Christmas cookies, he lets her know with not one but two subtle jabs.

Though he may seem sweet and cute, Ted considers himself to be a bit of a bad boy, sometimes cutting his PB&J sandwiches into triangles instead of rectangles or putting tiny hats on the pets when there's no one else around. This time he’s been adamant against selling himself to get more customers, but he ends up doing just that — unintentionally.

Both of these characters deserve to find each other once again, especially considering how much they’ve each grown. However, if there is one good thing to come from that version of him, it’s his dinner party with Mutt, Twyla, David, Stevie, and Alexis. More often than not, dad jokes deserve to be met with a dramatic eye roll, but Ted somehow manages to make it endearing and allows you to fall in love with his character even more. However, one of the sweetest and funniest is often overlooked in favor of his partner or her more outlandish family members.

RIP to all the free subs that could've been. He doesn’t think about the fact that a camera on the bunnies in his office could also pick up his movements around the office. (Love you, Ted, but this is super awkward.). Instead of calling her out on it directly, he usually does an indirect jab that he hopes will get her attention. So when the Season 4 finale brings them together sans Alexis a tender man to man chat ensues. Ted throws himself full force into his relationship with Alexis in Season 1. He is drunk even before he arrives at the party and then proceeds to continue drinking as the night wears on.

However, toward the end of Season 5 — as she and Ted prepare for their trip — she admits to worrying about being somewhere else and only thinking of her family in Schitt’s Creek.

Even though his presence in Season 6 is a little up in the air considering he traveled to the Galapagos Islands at the end of Season 5, Ted Mullens can never let Galapa-go of our hearts!
