As the birthplace of Afternoon Tea, The Langham, London continues to set the standard in afternoon tea today with an award-winning tea service and food overseen by Michel Roux Jr. Alles in allem eine wunderbare Tea-Time und ich würde trotz des eher hohen Preises sofort wieder dahin kommen.Hauptgericht, geschmorte Kalbsbäckchen, war sehr gut, zartes Fleisch und eine hervorragende Sauce, von der wir sogar noch einen Nachschlag erhielten. Die Desserts waren in Ordnung, die Weinkarte klein, aber fein, der 2015er Refosco, den wir bestellt hatten, war sehr gut.

Für das Preisleistungsverhältnis jedoch würden wir Fortnum and Mason definitiv über Palm Court bevorzügen. Besonders hat uns das liebevolle Arrangement auf einer Etagere gefallen. Natürlich ist der Preis wirklich kein Schnäppchen, aber dieser besondere Nachmittag war es uns wert und wir können dieses Hotel mit dem Afternoon Tea wärmstens empfehlen.der Sandwiches als auch der kleinen süßen Stücke fanden wir bei Fortnum und Mason (in der Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon), wo wir vor einigen Jahren waren, vom Niveau her überzeugender.
