We got a ton done in a short amount of time. Although intentions were good, I think that a lack of public awareness in each market led to a slow decrease in success. They would literally use them and then loose them.
We lost some VERY good people because of this. And hey, thats whats important to them. We moved quickly to eliminate roles that were no longer aligned with our strategic direction. My experience/interactions with the business side of Kapow has been extremely frustrating, and there doesn't seem to be any bright light at the end of the tunnel. To the guys that remain: Salut! I understood the risk when I came to Kapow. Guess what? They welcomed you taking days off as long as your clients and duties were covered when you were gone; given today's technology and accessibility, answering an email or two on a day off was never an inconvenience. Many employees end up in tears almost daily because they are constantly overwhelmed and have zero work/life balance.Start up culture with optimistic outlook.

I don't regret coming to Kapow at all, it was fantastic while it lasted!We were told in January that they wanted to rip the bandaid off and that would be the only layoff.. then I got cut in April... 3 months later.

Dirty game Kapow. Some of them were better than many people that were kept. I totally believed in their product: online marketplace for events, something to me, that is still revolutionary and hasn't been accomplished successfully yet in the mainstream.
