The first Avowed trailer sets the scene clearly, with medieval battlements, flaming arrows, and plenty of war-torn landscape beset with skeleton warriors. If anything it's good news for Obsidian being owned by Microsoft, they are finally getting the funding to make what they want to. Although the PS5 is not mentioned, this does suggest that it will later arrive on Sony’s system. Not the same as playing it yourself but it'd be better than nothing. But, as an Xbox console launch exclusive, will it eventually arrive on PS5? If you don't want to get an then I respect that choice but the consequence is the inability to play its exclusives. This is because it has returned to life on a number of different occassions, but now it appears to be a certainty for the near future.

I think timed exclusives is the way to go. There's no Avowed release date as of yet, but with another Obsidian game (Grounded) releasing in 2020, we don't expect to see this game on shelves until at least late 2021, if not after. No, I've never bought a console on day one. GSC haven’t specifically said whether Stalker 2 will be on the PS5 or not. Stalker 2 has been in development hell for many years. Yesterday’s Microsoft event for the Xbox Series X was a great showcase for the upcoming console. I dont give a damn bout dem trash xbox games.
If anything from reading this whole entire thread it's made me want Microsoft to have more exclusives and for Sony to have less then what we currently have. Now that Microsoft has acquired Obsidian, we won't see the game come to PS5, even though The Outer Worlds landed on both PlayStation and Xbox platforms. The only reason why sony is on the console throne since ps 1 is cuz of dem exclusives. You won't be able to pick up even a used one for anywhere near 100 "bugs". Also it'll be out on the new Xbox. I think you're misunderstanding what I mean by "kick in the teeth". Make a real life friend with someone who owns an Xbox and do a swap for a couple weeks and play the one game you want to play.

It still isn't cheap to buy a current gen console even when it's been out for a while. Lack of ports is one of the downsides of the thin and lightweight laptops and the same holds true for Microsoft’s Surface devices. What's also new here is that the POE games were very much PC-first experiences, even if both 2015's Pillars of Eternity and 2018's sequel Deadfire came to current-gen consoles a couple of years after their initial launch dates.
